Laura, who are you and where do you come from?

I was born in Jyväskylä and studied Information Systems Science at the University of Jyväskylä. My degree is a Master of Science (Econ.). The degree is a combination of IT and economics. During my career, I have also worked in the S Group and completed S-group’s management trainee program.

The counterbalance to the work is fussing at the summer cottage and, in addition, going regularly to the gym and Yin Yoga.

As a Business Development Manager, what is your work about?

The job description in the Partnerships team is new and is sure to take shape along the way. I am currently actively working on Secapp partnerships. The aim is to create systematic operating models for partners, intensify cooperation with existing partners, and expand our partner network.

What expertise did you bring to Secapp?

I have a long experience of working with public sector clients, especially in the healthcare sector. I have also experience in running a growth company business and developing operating models.

I am a hands-on developer and organizer and at my best in between IT and commercial matters. I outline large entities and try to tackle barriers to the business. For the past ten years, I have worked in various supervisory and management positions in the IT business.

What is it like working at Secapp?

I´ve been well taken into the team, although there have not been many office days together due to remote work and Covid-19 restrictions. All Secappians have a clear common goal which we are determined to reach.

What is the best thing about working at Secapp?

It is important to me that my work is meaningful and I can make something good come out of it. With Secapp, we help people around the world save lives and communicate reliably and quickly in various crisis situations.

In the summer, I spent my free time with tens of thousands of buzzing pets in cottage landscapes. I’m a beekeeper. This hobby, walking in the honey-soaked footsteps of my mother, has kept me busy with my husband for over a decade now.
