2.6.2026: Custom User Statuses make availability clearer

Secapp now supports Custom User Statuses, giving organizations a more flexible way to communicate and manage user availability. Instead of relying only on present or absent availability, organizations can define statuses that better reflect their own workflows, such as available, busy, in a meeting, on call or other organization-specific situations.

Custom statuses can include a name, color, icon and related availability information. The status name gives users a clearer way to describe their current situation, while the related availability information still indicates whether the user is generally present or absent.

Statuses are visible across key parts of Secapp, including the user list, Inbox and message thread views. Status updates are reflected in real time across web, iOS and Android, supporting a shared operational picture across teams.

For users, updating a status is simple through a dedicated status selection view. In the mobile app, users can also enable a floating status change button for faster updates during daily work. Custom User Statuses are managed separately for each organization, allowing each organization to use statuses that match its own needs and terminology.
