These instructions concern fields in Secapp SDO report templates into which Secapp message data can be saved automatically. The functionality is available when a Secapp message is sent and a report is attached to the message.
Automatic population is based on the name of the report field. In order for data to be populated into the report automatically, the field name in the report template must match the supported field name exactly. Uppercase and lowercase letters are also taken into account. In addition, the field must have the task result type specified in the table.
This update applies to new messages after the update has been introduced. It does not modify previously sent messages or reports retrospectively.
How to enable automatic population #
- Open the report template in Secapp SDO.
- Add or review the field into which you want to bring Secapp message data.
- Give the field one of the supported names listed in the table below, using exactly the same format.
- Select the task result type specified in the table for the field.
- Save the report template and test the functionality by sending a Secapp message with the report attached.
Supported field names and required task result types #
In the table below, the first column shows which Secapp message data the value is based on. The second and third columns show which report field names can be used to bring the data into a Secapp SDO report.

Important note about the Message send time field #
Automatic population of the message send time requires the field’s task result type to be Date and the format to be Date and time.
If a report template already contains a field named Message send time and its task type selection is Work package information, it should not be changed because of this update. This field is related to the previous work package information functionality, and its functionality remains unchanged.
If automatic population is not intended #
If a report template contains a field whose name matches one of the newly supported field names exactly, that field may in future be populated automatically when a Secapp message is sent. If this is not intended, we recommend renaming the field so that it no longer matches the supported field name exactly.
