Secapp and its team of six experts participated in to the EUvsVirus Hackathon organized by the European Commission during the last weekend of April. The purpose of the hackathon was to innovate new solutions to solve the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
In addition to the features already in use on Secapp, the team created an alarm map and data visualizations in just one weekend.
Alarm maps can be used to view alarm information for each hospital in the desired geographical area, allowing the situation to be viewed on a hospital-by-hospital basis. The maps are intended to help with maintaining the real-time alert situation.
Data visualization, in turn, can be e.g. used to look at the personnel resources in different hospitals, intensive care places available, or how much protective equipment is available. In addition, the number of different types of employees, such as nurses or doctors, and how many of them are ill or otherwise unavailable, for example, can be monitored.
Team Secapp: Kari Aho, Jani Lehtinen, Niko Tuomi-Nikula, Matti Lehtinen, Riku Eskelinen and Sami Kolsi.
The results of the hackathon and winner will be announced on April 30th.
